The Executive Dashboard within Validata SAS enables the business to understand the status of the project, and support you in making well informed and effective decisions.
The purpose of the Executive Dashboard is to provide a centralised and streamlined view on the performance of your projects and to combine information from various external data sources. It also enables the user to see data from all projects, compare them, notice correlations and identify trends.
It presents the information in a graphical way using a logical structure and enables you to generate comprehensive reports, tailored to your exact needs. The reports in the Executive Dashboard are generated at runtime and always show the current project state. Data can be customised and categorised to meet the needs of the different Project roles.
It also has the ability to export the project data stored with Validata SAS into third party tools, such as HP Quality Centre, Microsoft Excel, etc, so that you can leverage any investments already made by your organisation.
The data in the Executive Dashboard is taken from the following Validata SAS modules showing the relations and associations across the different dimensions of the project:
- Requirements Manager
- Change Manager
- Project Manager
- Test Manager
- Defect Tracking
These associations allow the user to ‘drill-down’ from summaries to more detailed views on a particular subject.
A few examples of the type of information you can easily access are:
- Coverage reports
- How project risks are covered by the Test Cases
- See how the development requirements are met based on test execution results
- Testing Summary Overview – Provides statistical information for each phase of the testing, starting from the Analysis and identification of Test cases, through scripting the test cases and the results of the test execution. Provides you with valuable information about the status of your project, based on testing results, as well as the trends of the testing process.
- Defects and Bug Tracking – This provides statistical and structured information for each subproject based on different criteria about the reported defects along with their status and also trends for the specific period.
- Time-To-Fix Report – This shows the management team all the reported defects that have been delayed beyond the agreed fix date. This is a key metric indicator, which lists the open defects in the system with their age.
