The adapter is a component which connects Validata SAS to multiple external environments, systems or data sources. Validata SAS supports three major adapter types: Connectors, Data Adapters and Extension Adapters.
The connectors enable data and enquiries transfer to external systems. They are handling the proper connection for the external system (TCP/IP, web services etc.) and perform simple data processing before transferring the data. The data adapters perform extensive data processing for importing and exporting data from and to external systems.
The extension adapters add logic to the external system, using the associative model and rules in Validata SAS.Due to their nature, their methods can be invoked locally or from a distance using the standard HTTP protocol.
Validata SAS comes with versioning and association functionality. Therefore, any data imported and consolidated into Validata SAS benefits from versioning and its associative model.
The adapters incorporate configurable parameters depending on configurations of the external system. Validata SAS supports multiple configurations per external system, each of them having separate set of adapters’ configuration.

Validata SAS has the ability to connect to any interface, such as SQL databases, SWIFT, ATM, XML, CSV Files, Flat files, Excel sheets, by using its generic adapters.
