Validata adds new AI-powered capabilities to accelerate digital transformation with Temenos applications

London, UK, 31st October 2019 - Validata Sense.ai, the first unified digital automation platform powered by AI, CRPA and deep analytics, has been extended with new AI capabilities, to help Temenos clients achieve 100% test coverage of the most risky areas in a digital transformation project or upgrade with half the effort they spend on testing today.

Validata Sense.ai utilizes machine learning models and advanced algorithms to truly causate and drive to the precise root cause of the issues, classify environment changes from drops and provision environments for various DevOps teams, enabling them to achieve lower development costs and a reduced project impact.

The new capabilities include:

AI-powered Risk Coverage Optimiser allows you to minimize the number of test cases required for optimum coverage. This means that the testing activities can be aligned with the risk business objectives and the organization can achieve a higher ROI while reducing risk.

By monitoring and analysing data and historical trends, it recommends which test cases should be run for maximum coverage, given constraints in time, resources and defects found. It prioritises user journeys and identifies the most important test cases to be executed first, enabling you to detect bugs for the critical business areas much earlier. This way, you can take advantage of a shift-left, risk-based testing approach to mitigate the risks and test changes more efficiently.

Validata LiveCompare for faster Temenos updates provides real-time insights of a bank’s existing and ‘to be’ Temenos application environments, to ensure they are aligned when making changes. It can quickly and automatically provide essential information for your Temenos applications to speed up your upgrades and patches, predicting the impact of new product versions on the user before release. This would have taken months of manually scrutinizing the environment to understand its configuration, performance, custom code and data.

It also helps to optimise the risks associated with Temenos development changes through AI-powered live impact analysis, by analyzing the impact of change on quality, performance, resources capacity and costs, with the ability to automatically apply the recommended changes through a corrective action plan. Leveraging the Capacity Planner functionality, project stakeholders can ensure that they have the people they need when they need them, and that they don’t have valuable resources just sitting on the bench.

Vaios Vaitsis, Founder & CEO at Validata Group, said "To take advantage of new digital platforms for innovation and customer engagement, such as Temenos Infinity, banks need to eliminate the delays and risks associated with deploying changes or upgrades. Till now Temenos customers were relying on time-consuming, manual tasks from development, testing, and operations to update their system. Our AI-powered technology is the first to provide actionable insights on past project data concerning system defects and issues, the test cases used to locate them and the resources required to run the tests."

The core of Validata Sense.ai is our AI engine which is comprised of AI and advanced machine learning algorithms, as well as a learning engine that uses Particle Swarm Optimisation (PSO) of the Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithms which are part of our computational intelligence technology.

This precision, ‘build for change’ technology produces real, actionable test cases empowering teams to automate more and provide better testing in less time. The brain (banking model) of our Real-time Automation Intelligence suite, integrated with AI and deep analytics, are all part of what Validata is calling a ‘central nervous system’ for enterprise testing, enabling teams to expand automation beyond test execution and paving the way to Autonomous Testing.

The pre-built models in the tool contain the Temenos workflows, and test cases are being generated automatically. The test case design has been deskilled enabling non-technical teams to perform the testing. This means that we can automate more things and do more testing, as we generate test cases directly from the model and the production data, and automatically re-create tests for maximum coverage.

It allows for functional and performance testing as well as usability testing all in the same engine, which also has the ability to call out APIs and other testing systems without having to switch apps. By reusing the functional test cases for performance testing, we reduce the cost of maintenance significantly.

The tool seamlessly integrates into a CI/CD powered workflow, that automatically generated tests are added to a test automation platform and executed on CI/CD systems (e.g Jenkins).

Using the power of Validata, leading banks have successfully:
  • Become 10x more productive than their peers
  • Achieved 2x faster time-to-market
  • Gained 5x development and testing efficiency
  • Reduced implementation costs by 80% vs traditional automation

"The benefits of Validata Sense.ai reach far beyond. It puts AI at the heart of every customer interaction to drive real-time change, improve customer experience, and deliver business performance and greater ROI", continued Vaios.
