Validata has been developed to deliver packaged, enterprise wide solutions, in testing and data migration for the financial sector and banking IT professionals. Significant investment has been made in both the development of product functionality and relevant, re-usable test cases to be packaged and delivered to clients as part of the overall product solution.
The structure provides a ‘ready-to-use’ set of test scenarios, grouped into logical functions and based on the major banking business functions (i.e. Loans, deposits, FX...).
Test scenarios provide comprehensive coverage of business functions based upon ‘good practice’ testing principals of inputting, amending, deleting, and operational principals of inputting and authorising.
In summary, the test structure provides:
- Definition of financial objects and mapping to Globus T24™ ready to be used
- Financial test cases built to cover all main banking functions
- Test cases grouped into logical functions at a granular level to enable selection of relevant functions
- Test data ready for use
- Automated test result checks
- Reduction in effort in test preparation and quicker times to delivery
- Utilization of the product features of re-usability
To ensure completeness of test coverage, test cases have been designed to cover the following approach to constructing scenarios (where relevant) following the ‘Four Eyes’ principal of “input and authorise test input”, “Amend and Reverse (delete)”, “same day value, back-value and forward value” and data and output checks.
All these test steps can be defined and developed by the user merely by defining the parameters for example by the keywords that Temenos T24™ recognizes (I, A, S, D, etc).
