• Validata SAS can present information from heterogeneous data sources – originating from different applications and platforms – thus presenting ‘one version of the truth’, from sources' entire IT infrastructure. It uses adapters to interact with external systems and perform high-level extraction, transformation, loading and consolidation of information
• The solution verifies incoming data for completeness and proper context, and performs rules validation and attributes value validation. Any invalid data is kept in suspending state until it becomes complete and valid, and can be re-imported once changes have been made
• Validata SAS’s reconciliation engine is based on business rules, which allow you to leverage existing data coming from third party assets or discovery tools (regardless of the vendor). Reconciliation engine's rules can be customised via a configuration wizard, or the pre-defined best practice rules within the solution can be used
• Import/Export from Source/to Target Systems Automated Feature provides efficiency in Data Integrity and Data Cleansing processes with various and accurate automatically generated reports by Validata SAS – Consolidation Reports, Reconciliation Reports and CSVErrorReports. These reports also include historic information such as user who performed the import; number of imported instances (specifics) and attributes; input XML file; import description; and start and end times of the import process
• Validata SAS keeps all data stored in a single central repository, complete with a powerful data dictionary stored as metadata. Metadata is used to validate incoming data and structure it in a way not easily achieved in traditional data storage systems. The metadata is also used for storing mapping rules, which are applied when importing/exporting data to the data repository from external data storages and/or formats.
• The Validata Metadata Updater Tool – part of Validata SAS - provides automated, fast and dynamic way to synchronize external systems metadata with Validata's Staging Environment.
